M 43 C voortstuwing

De in 1998 geïntroduceerde M43-motor, met een cilinderdiameter van 430 mm en een slag van 610 mm, is de meest potente MaK-motor verkrijgbaar. Dit type is in lijnuitvoering te leveren met 6-, 7-, 8-, en 9-cilinders. Het vermogensbereik ligt tussen 5.400 kW (6M43C)  en 9.450 kW (9M43C) bij 500 en 514 omwentelingen per minuut.
