M 20 C voortstuwing

De in 1992 geïntroduceerde M20-motor is met een cilinderdiameter van 200 mm en slag van 300 mm de kleinste MaK-motor uit het motorenprogramma. Dit type is in lijnuitvoering te leveren in een 6-, 8-, en 9-cilinder uitvoering. Het vermogensbereik ligt tussen 1.020 kW (6M20C) en 1.710 kW (9M20C) bij 900 en 1.000 omwentelingen per minuut.
